No offense but Kanye West is one artist with a childlike temper. He is now 40 of age. That’s a bye bye to youth. Despite it, high chances are that the rapper will keep us entertained for many years to come. To celebrate the milestone, let’s have a look at some of Kanye wildest and most controversial moments.
Kanye unforgettable Gorge W. Bush comment (2005)
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Kanye made a comment after being asked why viewers should donate. “Gorge Bush doesn’t care about black people.” Later, Bush called it “one of the most disgusting moments of his presidency.” Five years later Kanye apologised, “I didn’t have the ground to call Bush a racist.”
Kanye thinks he is Jesus (2006-present)
The critics started on Rolling Stone cover. Kanye thinks he has biblical worth. “You don’t think I would be one of the characters of today’s modern Bible?” he once asked DJ Tim Westwood. In 2013, he named his album Yeezus which included the song “I Am a God.” He then created his statue with complete crucifix.
Kanye and Taylor Swift feud (2009 to present)
It started during 2009 MTV video Music Awards when Kanye notoriously interrupted Taylor acceptance speech.
The two cleared the beef in 2015 Grammy’s. That didn’t last long. A year later, Kanye lyrics “I feel like I and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b*tch famous” ruined the good vibes.
Taylor sliced Kanye for taking credit for her success. Apparently, it was revealed Kanye had called Taylor to approve the lyrics, which she had given it the OK.
Kanye running for white house (2015)
Three months after Donald Trump announced he will run for the president, Kanye did it too with more drama. During 2015 MTV Awards performance he Kanye said, “I have decided, in 2020, to run for president” followed by a mic drop. He pushed it to 2024 BTW.
Kanye hospitalisation (2016)
In November 2016, Kanye cancelled his tour after a Sacramento rant criticising Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Most people thought it’s a jink but the artist was hospitalised for “temporary psychosis.” Ever since the incidence, Kanye has kept a relatively low profile.
