Ariana Grande charity concert to be held on 4th June in Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester sold out in astonishing six minutes.
On Thursday, June 1st, 45,000 tickets were gone just minutes after they went on sale at 10 a.m U.K time. Those who were at the ill-fated gig on Monday, May 22, have been given free tickets with the rest of the attendee paying $52.
The money raised from the concert will go to British Red Cross with the aim of supporting victims of the bombing. The event is expected to fetch around $2.6 million.
Other A-list celebrities accompanying Ariana include Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, One Direction Niall Horan, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay and Pharrell. All the artist have waived their performing fee hence doing it for free.
The show was organized after Grande expressed her desire to benefit the victims four days after her Manchester concert that left 22 dead and dozens injured.
According to the organizers, the sale of the concert tickets was met with remarkable demand with more than 140,000 rushing to get the high demand tickets.
